ISLANDS OFF CARIA, Rhodos. Rhodes. Circa 305-275 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19 mm, 6.94 g, 11 h). Head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΡΟΔΙΟΝ Rose with bud to right; to left, thunderbolt above Δ. Ashton 168. SNG Keckman 477. SNG von Aulock 2792. A remarkably attractive piece of exceptionally fine style, beautifully toned and struck in very high relief. Very light uncleaned deposits on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
